We offer a number of workshops for care and nursing home staff. They are all facilitated by registered, practising healthcare therapists who are also experienced trainers. Our sessions are informative and include lots of practical advice. We always aim to focus on issues being encountered in a specific home. A few of our currently most popular sessions are listed below.
This workshop is facilitated by a registered, experienced Speech and Language Therapist. It explores a number of areas that care staff need to be aware of including:
* What can cause choking and other swallowing problems?
* How can you help those who have
eating and drinking difficulties?
* What should you be looking out for?
* When should you refer to a Speech and
Language Therapist?
* What are the things you can do to help
prevent choking incidents?
The session, lasts two hours, can be run 'in house' and costs £299 for up to fifteen members of staff. Participants are presented with a certificate of attendance and a handout covering the important 'takeaways' from the workshop.

resident’s independence?

equipment might help?
* Equipment may not always be the
ideal solution / other ways to
manage.
