Voice Care Workshops for Schools

Voice Care Workshops for Teachers and other School Staff.

We run very popular workshops for school staff to provide them with important information to protect their voice in a school environment.  More details below.

Healthy 'School' Voice

We run ninety minute voice care workshops in schools for teachers, teaching assistants and other staff.  The sessions are designed to be practical, informative and fun!

We provide information on how to produce the ‘perfect teaching voice’ and give advice and strategies for avoiding voice problems in schools.

During the workshops we explore the following:

What does the body require to produce a good voice?

How to produce a good voice all the time.

What is it about the teaching profession that causes teachers to have voice problems?

What can school professionals do to keep their voice healthy?

Workshops are run by a voice specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Click here to talk to us about booking a session.

Voice problems in schools.

Recent research into the frequency of voice problems has found that one in five teachers has to take sick leave due to a voice-related problem sometime during the school year. There are a number of simple steps that can be taken to prevent voice strain, but very few teachers have ever received any training in this area.
